  • 1 serve of vegetables per sandwich

Ingredients

2 slices bread, preferably wholemeal or high-fibre white
1 tsp reduced-salt margarine
1 slice reduced-fat cheese
4 slices tomato
Cracked pepper (optional)

You can swap:

Tomato
Cucumber
Tomato
Lettuce
Cheese
Cream cheese

Tips

Method

Step 1
Spread the bread with margarine.

Step 2
Top one slice of bread with the cheese and tomato and sprinkle with pepper.

Step 3
Place the other piece of bread on top and cut into your favourite shape.


Food safety tip: If you are packing for lunch, cheese needs to be kept cold so pack an ice brick.
