Ingredients

1 large watermelon wedge, chopped into pieces
1 punnet blueberries
6 strawberries, chopped into pieces
1 nectarine, chopped into pieces
1 orange, chopped into pieces
1 kiwi fruit, peeled chopped into pieces

Orange
Mandarin
Nectarine
Apple
Watermelon
Rockmelon
Some fresh fruit
Canned fruit in juice

Tips

  • Having fruit as snacks or dessert is a good way to get your 2 serves of fruit each day.
  • This recipe is a good source of fibre. Eating a diet high in fibre can help reduce your risk of bowel cancer.
  • The skin of fruit is high in fibre so leave it on where possible.

  • Buy ‘Odd Bunch’, ‘I’m Perfect’ or ‘Imperfect Picks’ fruit to help reduce food waste.
  • Compost the peelings if you can.
  • Making a fruit salad is a good way to use up fruit that might have a few bruises. Just cut off the bruised bits.

  • Choose fruit in season. It will be cheaper, tastier and better quality.
  • To save money, make a fruit salad with fruit that is on special.

Combine all the fruit.

Divide into 4 containers.
