Ingredients

3 cups ripe fruit

Tips

  • Fruit provides natural sweetness along with fibre and vitamins.
  • This recipe makes a healthy alternative to ice cream. 

  • This recipe is a great way to use up fruit that is a bit overripe, bruised or wrinkled. Cut out bruised areas before blending. 

  • Buy ‘Odd Bunch’, ‘I’m Perfect’ or ‘Imperfect Picks’ fruit to save money. 

Method

Step 1
Remove the skin and any large seeds from the fruit.

Step 2
Chop roughly and then blend in a food processor until smooth.

Step 3
Freeze in ice cube trays.


Almost any fruit can be used; berries, stone fruit, mangoes and pineapple work beautifully.
