Whether you’re planning a workplace morning tea, hosting friends and family or just need everyday healthy snacks, Healthy Made Tasty has you covered!   

Morning tea is a great chance to add more vegetables and fruit into your day and work towards the recommended 5+2 serves.  It’s also the perfect time to boost your fibre intake with wholegrains.  

Here are our top recipes and ideas for a healthy morning tea.

Top 3 sweet treats

1. Orange and almond cake

This delicious cake made with whole oranges is packed full of nutrients and is a great healthy addition to a morning tea. This recipe can be made ahead of time and popped into the freezer for up to 4 months or stored in a reusable container at room temperature for up to 3 days.


2. Apple and date muffins

Our apple and date muffins are easy to freeze, so you can have them on hand whenever you need a delicious, filling, healthy morning tea option. 


3. Pear and yoghurt slice

This easy pear and yoghurt slice is sure to be a morning tea hit. You can bake it ahead of time and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.

1. Zucchini and corn fritters

Delicious, versatile and oh so nutritious. Serve these zucchini and corn fritters own their own or with minty yoghurt for a vegie packed option.


2. Mini crustless chicken quiches

A perfect size for morning tea, our mini crustless chicken quiches are a crowd pleaser at any morning tea. To make them suitable for vegetarians, simple leave out the chicken.


3. Savoury scones

Our savoury scones recipe are soft, fluffy and packed with flavour and vegies! These freezer-friendly snacks are super easy to have ready to go.


No time to cook? Try these ideas:

  • Vegie and dip platters – serve up seasonal vegies with a selection of dips such as hummus, tzatziki or good old guacamole. A great way to brighten up the table!
  • Fruit platters – chop up a selection of seasonal fruit and serve on a platter. If you have a few moments to spare, make fruit kebabs for a creative touch.
  • Sandwiches – you can’t go past a fresh sandwich. Go simple with cucumber sandwiches or tomato and cheese cut into triangles or fingers.  Or make some bread sushi for easy serving.
