5 make-ahead healthy snacks for busy weeks

Why snack prep deserves just as much attention as meal prep

Life can get busy, and when hunger strikes, it’s easy to reach for whatever is quickest and most convenient. Taking a little time to prepare snacks ahead of time can help make healthy eating easier, save money and reduce food waste throughout the week.  

From grab-and-go options for busy mornings to lunch box favourites and afternoon pick-me-ups, these make-ahead snacks are perfect for keeping in the fridge, freezer or pantry so you always have something tasty ready when you need it.

Top tip: Wrap slices individually in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature to serve.

Top tip: Make a double batch and freeze half for later. They’ll keep for up to 2 weeks in the fridge or 3 months in the freezer. 


3. A savoury snack box

Vegetable sticks and hummus
