Why not balance the usual feast and make the party spread bright and colourful with our delicious and fun party food.
Try these party poppers:
Have fun with fruit. Try our super easy banana pikelet recipe. Get the kids to design their very own festive creation!
Variation: If you don’t have bananas, add ½ cup fresh or frozen berries or sultanas to the mix before cooking. You can make plain pikelets too.
Our festive Christmas tree pizza recipe is a healthy and tasty option for the lunch box or perfect for a party platter. A delicious way to get 1 of the recommended 5 serves of vegies!
Top tip: Get creative and use whatever vegies you have available to decorate the ‘trees’.
Also known as apple and date bliss balls, this recipe is an ideal sweet treat for the celebration table.
Top tip: Make a double batch and freeze what you don’t need. Then you have a quick and easy snack on hand.
Get the kids to help make some ‘Santa hats’ using grapes, banana and strawberries. Or make your own Christmas trees by threading sliced cucumbers onto a toothpick and top with a carrot star. Super quick and super cute.
You can’t go wrong with a watermelon Christmas tree on a hot day! The ‘trunk’ of the watermelon makes a mess-free handle to hold.
Make a snowman platter using assorted vegies and tzatziki dip.
Top tip: Use fresh vegies and fruit in season as they will be delicious and more budget friendly.
All the recipes and ideas are nut-free to make sharing food a bit easier.
